More new arrivals…
Our ever increasing brood has had a few new members over the past month or so. Stephanie the orphaned lamb now has little Eve to keep her company. Like Stephanie, Eve was also orphaned at birth. Whilst they share the same father (Texal breed) they have different mothers, Stephanie’s being a Cheviot whilst Eve’s mum is a native Welsh Mountain ewe.
On the chick front we have a new French Maran hen who should lay chocolate brown coloured eggs, we have also adopted a new cross breed duck who has settled in with the other ducks very well.
Our fiesty little pony Leona now has a friend too. Fitz (Fitzgerald) came to us last week and he is a beautiful chestnut coloured miniature horse. Standing not much bigger than a regular family dog he is light on his feet and loves being handled. Leona is still getting used to having another horse around but I’m sure they will settle together quite well.
The last of our new arrivals are just a couple of hours old. Millie Von Dog gave birth to 4 very healthy little puppies this morning. She is a great mum and is coping very well with the drain of 4 little mouths suckling away.
